i write these words on notecards cause i have nothing better but it's all the same feeling as i read through your letters "you're my rushmore" well you're my waste of time and you think you're such a nice boy well boy you think too much breaking hearts is out of style but your comprehension lacks in grace and he's got those tired eyes "only a mother could love" well i'm not your mother but i loved them none the less so where do i go from here? i only ever wanted to be the lightning in your veins so i could brighten your day but things got cloudy and you ran away | In this very strange world Thursday, August 23, 2012 In the midst of applying anywhere and everywhere for jobs, I have found a new obsession: watching youtube vids of people playing Slender. Comment! (5) | Recommend! take me to the finish line Wednesday, January 11, 2012 It's strange. Last quarter I got straight A's, kicked ass in my most challenging classes yet, and was just overwhelmingly proud of myself for making it through that. I think I burned myself out. I'm not excited about my major anymore; I don't want to go to my classes. I just want a break. I think I'm starting to understand why having Summer quarter off and Winter break are so important. I still took classes over the Summer and over Winter break I was constantly busy catching up with old friends and family, traveling, etc. that I never had any time to myself to just pause and breathe. The only thing getting me through right now is the fact that switching my major at this point would be absolutely insane, not to mention incredibly expensive. Even taking the quarter off would mean I'd have to wait until winter quarter NEXT year to complete my courses to graduate. Overall it just wouldn't be worth it. So I'm going to try and power through this as best I can; I don't want to throw all my hard work out the window. I've started a list of goals for myself, as well; the important things I want to achieve after I graduate be it in my career or personally. The length of the list thus far is equal parts terrifying and exciting. It's important to make yourself happy. I really want to move to New York after I graduate and that's my motivator for these next few months. Getting a job there with the degree I'm earning won't be easy but I'm excited to live in a place that will challenge me. 2012, let's see what you have in store. Comment! I think I'm going back Monday, July 18, 2011 counting curtain calls and waiting Tuesday, June 28, 2011 Hmmmm not much to update with. I did really well last quarter, much better than I expected as for 2 of my classes I literally had no idea where I stood gpa-wise for the entire quarter. I'm in Bellingham for the summer and just moved in with some of my favorite people on the planet. It's going to be a good year. I think I'm going to San Francisco again next month! Going to visit some friends and look more into Berkeley for grad school. Nervous but definitely excited. I feel like my computer is about to blow up. Note to self: buy a Mac as soon as possible.
